Cultural: Pospíšil was born in Turnov, Czech Republic to Canadian/American parents. She attended Japanese, Czech and Spanish immersion schools as a child and studied in Japan and the Czech Republic. As an adult, she has studied Czech language at Charles University in Prague, Korean language at HUFS University in Seoul, and worked in Tokyo in both theater and corporate roles (2019, 2022-23). She uses her diverse cultural and linguistic experiences to successfully collaborate with diverse communities on important minority stories with empathy, sensitivity and a high standard of intellectual preparation.

Theater: Pospíšil graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in directing and choreography and has since worked alongside Tony-winning and Tony-nominated directors on Broadway (Waitress), Off-Broadway (Gloria: A Life), internationally (Broadway premier of Pippin in Tokyo), and in regional theaters in the US (Drury Lane Theater). She was selected to be a part of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) 2018-19 Observership Program designed to recognize emerging directors and choreographers in the American theater scene. Her professional directing debut was in 2019 with Heathers: The Musical at Gatehouse Theater in SF. Through the pandemic, she has continued to collaborate on numerous projects around the country in theater, film and music as director, choreographer, performer, designer, and filmmaker. Notable projects include: Think (Music Video), N, Digress (Choreopoem), My Own Route (Non-traditional Flute Recital), and bUt yOur EngLish iS sO gOoD (Choreopoem).
